Train a Health Leader

You can help build healthier communities! We have a goal to train 1,000 young women as health facilitators to transform poor communities across India. The Community Health Facilitator program trains women from local communities – teaching the basics of health education, such as illness prevention, nutrition and early childhood care. Each leader then goes on to train approximately 200-300 additional households – and also introduces health-related businesses and savings groups – in order to bring about long-lasting change within their community. We urgently need your support. A donation of $165 will enable one woman to be trained as a Community Health Facilitator and impact hundreds of families. (But any amount can make a difference!) Donate NOW to this cause.

Opportunity International Australia

Opportunity International Australia is a non-profit organisation that uses a sustainable approach to solve the problem of poverty. Offering a hand up rather than a hand-out, families are empowered through community development programs and loans as small as $100 (microfinance or a micro loan) to help them grow their own small business. These services mean that families no longer have to struggle to afford food, clean water, healthcare and an education for their children. With more than 40 years’ experience working with the poor, Opportunity is a leading provider and pioneer of socially focused microfinance and support services. Part of the global Opportunity International Network (with support members in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and Germany), we are currently providing a way out of poverty for millions of people in more than 20 developing countries around the world. Opportunity International Australia currently focuses its work in India, Indonesia and the Philippines, and also China and Ghana. You can join us as we work to provide millions of families with an opportunity to leave poverty behind for good.
